Welcome to Long Creek Kikos

We are committed to producing quality Kiko goats that will enrich your production goals

About Us

Mission Statement

We are dedicating to producing a low input goat with high input results for you and your farm.  We have been in the Kiko industry since 2013. All animals have access to shelter, but in no way are they pampered.   We hope that under better circumstances our animals will outperform under any farm management.

We both work full time jobs so our animals will work while you are working.   We have a fall roundup in which 1/3 to 2/3 of our animals are sent to market or are culled.  We feel that any seed stock operation needs a cull program in order to have a worthwhile operation.  Phenotype is of super importance in our program because if an animal goes to market we want USDA Grade I animals in order to be profitable in both breeding and meat markets.  We all know Kikos are high performance animals, so our goals are to incorporate meat grade quality in high performance animals.

Kenny Davis and Leslie Brown are the farm owner and operator.  We produce goats that are not only hardy and phenotypically sound, but we also provide both commercial and registered goats to enhance your herd program.

Bucks

Herd Sires

TBR Billy Bob is our main herdsire.  He is the brother of a famous herdsire named TBR Bugfree.  He is built with a large chest and frame.  His Brother TBR Bug Free did very well in the Maryland Buck test. He is the 2016 Maryland Buck FEC champion and won top ten overall.  He will add width and rear to many of our herd tested does.  Billy Bob placed 11 th overall in the 2023 West Virginia Buck test and offers longevity to our herd as one of the oldest living herdsires from the TBR line.  I have never had to deworm him or provide much maintenance.

MRG Sir KC Carbon - Long Creek Kikos

MRG Sir KC Carbon

He is a well tested buck on both the paternal and maternal side.  PJM Carbon Copy is a well tested buck he is one of only 3 bucks that PJ felt was good enough to be sold and represent his prefix.  His sire tied for 11 th place at the West Virginia Buck test in 2020. His ADG was 0.53 lbs per day.  His overall FEC average was 200.  KC provides width and rear to my herd.  Does and bucks produced from him have a very solid phenotype.  KC is a wide, well made buck. He has great body length, dark feet and produces excellent fast growing kids.

Does

With Does, I was lucky enough to retain 5 outstanding does from PJM Goats back in March of 2024.   These does come from a long lineage of 15 years of selection by PJ with focus on maternal capabilities, excellent udder attachment and parasite resistance.

The sire, PBG Wild William WV22 performed very well in the West Virginia Buck Test for Pat Larr. He finished 15th overall out of 200, 12th in parasite resistance, and 12th in ADG with an impressive average daily gain of .65 pounds per day.

Kids

Babies

Our kids inherit the best qualities of their parents, making them perfect candidates for breeding or commercial stock. We regularly offer young goats with excellent genetic profiles and the strong build characteristics of Kiko goats.

Breeding Benefits: Whether you’re looking to strengthen your breeding program or add to your commercial herd, our kids are raised to grow into high-quality, low-maintenance adults that thrive in various environments.

Commercial

Livestock

Commercial Focus: Long Creek Kikos specializes in raising goats that are ideal for commercial-grade meat production. Our male goats are selected for their rapid growth and are raised to meet the needs of meat operations looking for efficiency and reliability.

Grading System: Our livestock is sorted by Grade 1, 2, and 3, with a focus on creating Grade 1 animals. Our aim is for our goats to meet commercial standards in terms of build, health, and performance.

Future Plans: We are excited to expand our offerings by potentially adding co-pasture animals in the future, allowing us to offer even more options for agricultural producers looking to diversify their herds.
